Call for Posters | 1st ICES 2026

About the Poster Session

The Organizing Committee of the 1st International Conference on Eco-Linguistics & Sustainability, hosted by the Centre of English Language and Linguistics, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro, invites poster proposals from researchers, academics, students, and practitioners working at the intersection of linguistics, ecology, culture, and sustainability.

The poster session offers an interactive platform to showcase ongoing or completed research, share preliminary findings, and engage in focused, one-on-one discussion with conference delegates.

Posters are especially encouraged from graduate students, early-career researchers, and those presenting work-in-progress, pilot studies, or fieldwork-based projects.

Suggested Themes

Posters may address, but are not limited to the following topics:

Language, ecology, and the environment

Eco-critical discourse analysis

Sustainability narratives and cultural representation

Language pedagogy for environmental awareness

Indigenous and minority languages in sustainability contexts

Digital tools and AI applications in eco-linguistic research

Climate change communication and media discourse

Interdisciplinary approaches to language and social-environmental justice

Presentation Slot

Each presenter will be given a dedicated timeframe to present their work to delegates and judges. Presenters must be available at their poster during the designated session.

Submission Requirements

Poster proposals should be submitted through the conference portal and must include:

Poster Title

A concise and descriptive title for your research.

Abstract

200 - 300 words

Must include research aims, methodology, and key findings or expected outcomes.

A Best Poster Award will be presented based on the recommendation of the evaluation panel.
